One of the main attractions of Pokemon GO has always been the community atmosphere that surrounds it. From the choice of your team (Go Valor!) To participating in community raids, playing with the rest of the Pokemon community has long been a huge bonus for players around the world.
One of the ways that Niantic, the developer of Pokemon Go, has fostered this community atmosphere has been through community events. As the last Pokemon GO community day of 2019 has just ended, players are looking for information on when the first event in the new year will take place. The First Pokemon Go Community Event For 2020 Has Been Announced By Developer Niantic. Niantic recently answered this anticipated question, stating that the first Pokemon GO Community 2020 event will take place on Sunday, January 19.
As has become the norm, this event will last three hours, starting at 11 a.m. and ending at 2 p.m., according to local time in the northern hemisphere. Players from the southern hemisphere will be able to participate in the community day from 3 p.m. to 6 p.m. in their local time zone. The different moments through the hemisphere are something new for Pokemon GO and are the direct result of player feedback.
“Thank you for sharing your comments regarding the times of day for the Pokemon GO community and its impact on different regions,” said Niantic on the official Pokemon GO site. “The safety and well-being of our trainers is of the utmost importance, so in the future we plan to test the hours of community day that are based on the hemisphere in which you reside.”
